Our welding operations are Canadian Welding Bureau Certified.
North Skagit Steel Ltd. was incorporated in 1988. The company was founded by Mike Steel with the assets of a sole proprietorship he started in 1985 while still in university. Early projects were on-site labour erecting and welding for BC's major steel fabrication shops of the time. Contracts included contributions to BC's iconic structures such as BC Place Stadium, the Coquihalla Highway's Great Bear Snow Shed, and the Alex Fraser Bridge.
The scope of business expanded and changed to focus on in-shop fabrication of mine, quarry and industrial process equipment, as well as structural and miscellaneous metal fabrication in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Through the years a constant attention to quality, innovation and professional dedication to all aspects of metal working, from initial design to final finishing has kept customers satisfied and the company profitable. Almost all of the customers that have used our services in the past twenty five plus years, continue to do so.
